Hello and welcome to the Habitat for Humanity Home Application Course.
This course is designed to take you through a number of topics designed to give you an understanding of the responsibilities associated with qualifying for and owning a Habitat for Humanity Home.
The course will cover the following topics:
Unit 0 – Introduction
Unit 1 – What Habitat for Humanity builds
Unit 2 – Criteria and Qualifications for receiving a Habitat for Humanity Home
Unit 3 – Paying for your Habitat for Humanity Home
Unit 4 – Your responsibilities as a Habitat for Humanity Homeowner
Unit 5 – 3 special provisions that protect Habitat for Humanity
Unit 6 – What is Family Service Committee
This course is designed for you to do in one sitting. Meaning that if you do not finish this course in one sitting you will be required to start at the beginning again.
There are quizzes throughout this course for your practice.
At the end of this course there is a final assessment that you will need to pass with an 80% or better to be able to qualify for a Habitat for Humanity home.
This section will introduce you to the Habitat for Humanity history and philosophy
This unit will discuss briefly the types of homes built and in what counties those homes are built in.
This unit discusses the criteria and qualifications necessary to be eligible for a Habitat for Humanity Home
This unit will talk about the payment methods associated with a Habitat for Humanity Home
This unit identifies your responsibilities as a Habitat for Humanity Homeowner
This unit discusses the provisions that Habitat for Humanity has in place to protect the home
This unit goes over what the family service committee does.
This unit is your final assessment and you will need to pass with an 80% or better to be able to fill out an application
